Hello!! My name is Whispering Eagle and I am an enrolled member of
the Lummi Indian Nation located in the beautiful northwestern coast of Washington state. My people are known as the Salmon
People and we are part of the Coastal Salish families that for hundreds of years have resided in the Pacific Northwest region
of the United States, Canada, California, Oregon, and Alaska. We enjoy our cultural rights to fish for salmon, and many
other types of seafood to include halibut, dungeness crab, and shellfish including oysters and clams. Even though at times
my journey may be difficult I have found many rewarding things and gained valuable knowledge of who I am and where I came
from. I also was able to understand the traditional values that my nation holds so dear. I missed so much being away but am
thankful that I was given the opportunity to return home and close the door on that journey.
We hope that you enjoy your visit with us and that
you will share our site with friends that are interested in our products and items. Our items are done individually by hand
and are never mass produced. We have researched the history of many of the items and work according to the traditions of ours
and other nations. You may recognize some of the beading patterns for example, as many are found in the vast assortment of
books available at your local bead supply store.
