BEADWORK & CRAFTS
Throughout time Native American people
have used items that were natural and convienent for the area where they lived. My people are known for their carvings
and totem poles. Many other nations have done beadwork like mine, or sand art and silversmithing for my Arizona cousins,
the Navajo nation to the south. We have learned to recreate designs and artwork from our Elders with traditional
values. I would like to share with you some of the items that I am proud of. My favorite hobbies are needlepoint,
cross stitch, knitting, beading, and crocheting. Here is some of the Native American beadwork that I have done and sell at
Art Shows in my area. We are constantly adding new items and learning new traditional crafts. I hope that you
enjoy these examples.
